A clear route from property opportunity to HMO planning
MCA helps property investors and owners test HMO conversion opportunities before committing to a layout or planning submission. Early work considers existing accommodation, proposed bedroom arrangements, shared facilities and the local planning context.

MCA helps property investors and owners test HMO conversion opportunities before committing to a layout or planning submission. Early work considers existing accommodation, proposed bedroom arrangements, shared facilities and the local planning context.
Our work includes smaller HMO conversions and larger sui generis proposals. We prepare architectural drawings and supporting planning documents, and coordinate with specialist consultants where required. Licensing and Building Regulations need to be considered alongside planning.
Recent planning successes include the nine-bedroom Red Balloon Nursery conversion in Llanedeyrn, an eight-bedroom HMO on Constellation Street, a five-bedroom conversion on Beresford Road, and a six-bedroom scheme at the former Usk Vets in Pontypool.
